WELCOME TO MĀLAMA NĀ KOA

Who we are…

We proudly support and welcome Wounded Warriors, Injured Soldiers, & Veterans of all branches of service who have transitioned out of the military.

In 2013, Ka Māmalahoe Canoe Club partnered with the Hawaii Warriors in Transition Battalion to support the therapeutic and rehabilitative needs of injured military members through adaptive outrigger paddling. Over the next three years, the club offered year-round paddling activities to 100–200 military members annually. In late 2014, the club expanded its program to include disabled veterans through a partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project.

Due to the program's growing popularity, it was rebranded as Mālama Nā Koa (“Take Care of Our Warriors”) and continues to provide adaptive outrigger paddling training and activities to thousands of active and retired service members annually.
