Ka Mamalahoe Canoe Club was founded 14 years ago by Scott Thompson and Russell Swaney as a small, community-based outrigger paddling club. Driven by their love for the sport, they established the club to expand paddling opportunities. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2007, the club is led by a board of directors and is dedicated to serving the community, supporting families, and preserving culture. Members volunteer to offer adaptive outrigger paddling programs for injured military personnel and disabled veterans.
