  • Do I need prior paddling experience to join?

    No experience? No problem! We welcome paddlers of all levels, including beginners. Our experienced members and coaches will help you learn the basics and improve your technique over time.

  • What do I need to bring to practice?

    Bring water (no glass or metal containers), sun protection (hat, sunscreen), comfortable workout clothes, water shoes or slippers and a willingness to paddle! We provide the canoe and paddles, but you're welcome to bring your own if you have it.

  • Do I need to know how to swim?

    Yes, all paddlers must be able to swim or be comfortable in open water. Basic water confidence is essential.

  • Is there a fee to join?

    We charge annual membership dues to cover equipment maintenance, insurance, and club operations. We do our best to keep member fees low. Please contact us for current pricing.

  • Why do I have to sign a waiver?

    Outrigger paddling involves physical activity and water-based risks. The waiver ensures you understand those risks and agree to participate responsibly. It's standard practice for all members.

  • Can I try a session before committing?

    Absolutely! You can try a few. We offer an introductory session for those interested in joining. It’s a great way to meet the team and experience outrigger canoeing firsthand.

  • How often does the club practice?

    We typically hold practices multiple times a week, with options for recreational and competitive paddlers.

  • What do I need to register?

    You’ll need to submit the following:
